Shipping - $5 to $50 savings

Look for free shipping. Many sellers and stores will offer free shipping for orders over $100 or $200 dollars. This can save a lot of money - an exhaust or set of nerf bars can cost up to $50 to ship across the United States.

When searching, set the settings to Lowest Price + Shipping if possible.

If you're on a web-store and are unsure of the shipping price, call them to have a price quoted. If an item seems like it may be small, give the seller a call and see if they can be haggled to ship it for free. Especially on E-bay or Amazon, if you agree to do the transaction over the phone, a seller can afford to give you free or discounted shipping because they don't have to pay the fees.

Be wary of fixed shipping rates - some many be higher than what it actually costs them to ship!

Ask for combined shipping if purchasing multiple items - if one item can fit in the others box, it saves you both money!

Sometimes it is cheaper to find a seller that is local and pick up the item yourself.

Shop Around - Varies

Don't buy from the first seller you see. Check multiple venues - E-bay, Amazon, Price Grabber, Google Checkout. Some sellers may even have an item cheaper on different venues because of affordability.

Don't buy straight from the manufacturer! They generally have the most expensive price. You can always ask for a list of their favorite dealers.

Haggle! Call a seller and haggle. You're not in a store, you're in a market - sometimes you can save anywhere from 5 to 15% by ordering over the phone instead of going through a commerce checkout.

Consider Aftermarket - Varies

Aftermarket is often cheaper, but what you might not know is sometimes aftermarket is better too. Sacrificing the OEM brand name can save you 50-65% of an item's worth, and it may even be better quality.

Research different companies and brands before you go to E-bay or Amazon.

Buy in Bulk - Varies

If you going to buy multiple accessories, try to buy from the same vendor. The seller may be willing to give combined shipping and a small discount.

A customer called asking about the difference between buying OEM Kawasaki KFX 400 A-Arm Guards, and Pro Armor's Pro Am A-Arm Guards. Pro Armor had just as good quality, and he saved $128 just by switching from OEM to Aftermarket (the OEM skid plates had no logo, and thus his friends wouldn't even know he didn't get OEM). We asked him if he was considering any other skid plate armor, which he was but he hadn't searched for them yet. We were able to provide him a bumper and swingarm armor as well, and combine all the items in one box which brought the shipping cost from $10-12 for each item to just $12 for one shipment.
