Information about Different Types of Shafts
Shaft is a necessary part in many machines. It is a kind of metal bar or rod that connects some parts of the machine. Although it is not as important as many other mechanical components, the shaft still plays a rather important role in industries. Like others, it also has various types. Generally, shafts can be made of different kinds of materials such as aluminum, steel, cast iron, titanium and tungsten, etc. But for this category, in order to bear more loads, the shaft should be quite durable. As a result, the materials chosen to manufacture them should be durable, too. Thus, materials such as titanium and tungsten are suitable for making these shafts.
Addition to the above types, the pinion shafts are quite important. Some of them are very durable and can be very useful in many applications. Like the second type, it is also appropriate to use durable materials to fabricate the pinion shafts. For example, the alloy steel and carbon steel are very good materials for making them. This kind also has many special characteristics. They can be easily installed. Besides, they are available in varied places.
