Heated Gloves

I you want to ride all year-round, your hands will be much more comfortable if you are wearing Heated Gloves. Riding with cold hands can make for a very uncomfortable ride. For many riders, if your extremities are cold, the rest of your body will also be cold.

There are some well-known brands available on the market. Many of these will require additional hardware to connect up to your Motorcycle. A couple of the brands you are likely to find are highlighted here.

Firstgear:

These folks hold multiple patents. They have always been innovative. With several proprietary technologies and unique materials, they provide quality, function, and all-weather durability.

Tourmaster

These folks actually started out as "Helmet House". They started reselling "seconds" at swapmeets on the weekends. Shoei became interested in them and offered a distributorship.

Tourmaster followed a few years later as an apparel and glove brand, among other riding gear. They are a key player in aftermarket riding gear. The gear is primarily targeted to street riders. Tourmaster has expanded over the years to include Luggage, boots, and gloves.

The gear is even tested in a Wind Room to simulate being on a Motorcycle.

Features to look for when buying Heated Gloves:

Breathable

Good heat coverage - Palms, Fingers, Thumb - and back of hand

Pre-Curved fingers

Thin - like a summer glove

Thinsulate is helpful

If you have ever ridden in the winter, you have most likely had to deal with frozen fingers. It is really hard to work the clutch and throttle when you can't feel your fingers. One way to continue riding through the winter and still be able to feel your fingers is to wear Heated Gloves. The temperatures outside may plunge, but that doesn't mean you have to forego the fun of getting in a ride!

You may also need a Y-Harness and a Heat Troller to connect into your bike if you don't plan to connect to an electric jacket. These are sold separately, but are not hard to find.

To gauge the right size, simply measure around your hand it's the largest part (excluding your thumb). The following guide should help determine your size - Small (6-1/2"-7"), Medium (7-1/2"-8"), Large (8-1/2"-9"), Extra Large (9-1/2"-10") and 2XL (10"-12" plus).
