The S and R models differed slightly... in construction of frame, wheels, brakes, and colour schemes The engine for all KR1 models was a 2 cylinder, reed valve induction 2stroke motor of 249cc (somewhat based on the previous TZ/TZR configuration). The 180 firing parallel twin configuration featured a crank driven balancer shaft.
